On Sunday 21st April a group of Eton and Holyport students will undertake a Half Marathon litter pick along the Thames and Jubilee Rivers, accompanied by OE Luke Douglas-Home, The Coastline Runner, and Director of Environmental Education Kerri Hicks. They will start from the Windsor-Eton Bridge at 11:45am and finish at approximately 4:30pm (we hope!) This fundraiser supports Sungai Watch, a charity whose mission is to clean up the most polluted rivers in Indonesia, intercepting plastic before it enters the ocean. The students aim to raise £5000 to cover the cost of installing and maintaining a single river barrier for a year, guaranteeing that at least 1500kg of plastic will be collected and processed responsibly. This year the theme of Earth Day (Monday 22nd) is Planet vs Plastics – wondering what you can do to contribute? Donate to our fundraiser here!
